History

 

The company was founded in 1996 by engineer Fabrizio D’Aloia, present managing director and president of Microgame SpA.
At that time the main activity of the company was the development of web applications.


In 1998 betting became more and more popular in Italy. Microgame entered this new market as one of its pioneers and took advantage  from the optimal business opportunities which were offered to the young and dynamic company.

 

In the following years, Microgame develops the operative instruments and acquires the know-how necessary to operate on an international level and positions itself as leading service provider for remote gaming in Italy.

 

In 2007, Microgame became stock company and opened its stock capital to the British private equity fund Cambria Ltd. (FSA regulated) and other institutional investors.

 

Today, the Microgame group includes different gaming companies in Italy, Great Britain and Malta as well as an electronic money institute in Italy.
